Must-Haves for a Beach Holiday

June 10, 2016

There are several things needed for when one goes to the beach. It's a trip to a whole different place, unless of course you live on the beach or you are going during winter, which believe it or not there are a lot of people that do. But if you don't live on the beach or don't go during winter and want to know what are the must-haves, continue reading.

First thing on the list, Sunscreen.
1. It is important to protect your skin from the sun. Yes, the sun is great for your skin, but if you are going to spend hours and hours outside, make sure to protect your skin. The best sunscreens that I always use and that I will recommended are either Banana Boat Sunscreen or the Coppertone Sport Sunscreen. Both are available at any drugstore.

2. Moisturizer.
As for me, I always end up with dry skin, if you are the same, make sure you pack moisturizer. The one I prefer would be Aveeno. But that is my choice, whatever moisturizer you use will be fine. I also sometimes use Jergens and it is also very good.

Available at any drugstore.

3. Dry Shampoo.
Sometimes you just don't have time to wash your hair, and that is what dry shampoo is for. It is also very good for when on a beach holiday, or any holiday. I have tried pretty much all dry shampoos and they all work very good but the ones that I'll recommend are the Fudge Urban Dry Shampoo. They sell it in selected stores in the US or Target. The Not You Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo, that is available at Waltmart or Walgreens, or check your local drugstore, they may have it. And last but not least, the Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-Powder , this one is on the expensive side but totally worth it and it does wonders. It is also available at Sephora.

4. Sea Salt Spray.
I like having texture in my hair, so I usually use sea salt spray. If you just don't want to use any products on your hair, just use a sea salt spray. It will make your hair a little dry but that is the whole point of it. Fudge Urban also has a sea salt spray and its really good. Its the Fudge Urban Sea Salt. Also Not You Mother's has one and its the one I mainly use when I can't get a hold of Fudge Urban's. Its the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray. It is available at WalMart or check your local drugstore.

5. Lip Balm
With all that sun and sea water, your lips may get chapped. Pack your favorite lip balm and you'll be good to go. Right now my favorite is from Nivea, it truly does leave my lips soft and I always have it with me. It is available at any drugstore.

6. Last but not least, Enjoy! Take bikinis, sundresses anything else that you'll want to take, except don't over do it. You'll be at the beach so you'll need bikinis, swimsuits, dresses and shorts. You will not need so much clothes.
